Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished professor of psychology since 1993 and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name is widely recognized with establishing the current study of eyewitnesses' memory, and the role of children in witnessing. Professor Goodman is the author of numerous papers and awards to her credit she is also the winner of numerous national and global distinctions. She consults with numerous countries and agencies around the world regarding policies and the research of child victimization in the court system. She is a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor Goodman is also a part of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of the the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, as well as three Divisions: Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
