Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actor from the United States. Her most well-known role was that of Skyler on the AMC drama Breaking Bad. She won Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding supporting Performance on a Drama Series for 2013 and 2014. As well as playing Martha Bullock and Jean Ward She has also appeared on The Practice. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in love with acting in preparation for her first performance before moving to Ohio. She studied theatre at Northwestern University, and spent an entire semester at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her career in Chicago-area theatres for a few years. Then she moved to TV and film. In 1992, Anna was offered her first big character in the role of Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. Following her appearance as a Guest on several TV shows and films, such as Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue in the 90's She was then given the role of Jean Ward as part of The Practice. In 2000, she was cast in Deadwood as Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler was the character she played as Martha Bullock in Breaking Bad. Sully and Deadwood was a different film that she starred in. Gunn also took to the stage in a David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. Gunn also appeared in the four-part podcast audio drama called Numbered Days, which was launched in 2022. Breaking Bad is often centered on the relationships between Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their relationship is strained and final break-up echoes the end of Walter White's personal life.
